I went to the derby bout last night at the Oval, and I've just got to say that I don't remember the last time I had that much fun! I have seen roller derby on t.v. in the past, and I've got to admit, I didn't expect a whole lot, but after last night, I am hooked! What a great show! All of the staff were great and friendly, all of the skaters were professional and very approachable after the show. It was definately something that I will be coming to often! Thanks for such a great show!

Women’s Roller Derby is not for the weak
The Salt City Derby Girls are preparing even as we speak
The rules of each bout are simple to learn
They skate at full throttle around each turn
The pivot regulates the speed of the pack
Blockers try to keep the other team's jammer back
The jammer scores a point for every blocker/pivot from the opposing team that she passes
The skating and blocking are intense and not for squeamish lads and lasses
There are three 20 minute periods per bout
Enough time to learn what roller derby is about
Once you attend and see the action
You’ll want a repeat of that same satisfaction
The traveling team is the Salt City Shakers
They’re tough competitors; they’re not fakers
Come watch the competition between The Bomber Babes and The Death Dealers
The Sisters of No Mercy and The Leave It To Cleavers
Come to the Olympic Oval and show your support
The cost is so low, but you won’t be sold short
You’ll get your money’s worth of sweat and pain
You’ll want to return again and again
